Whitetail Deer & Black Bear Hunts

Keeping in mind your hunt is classed as a extreme hunt we suggest you are prepared and bring the following

If you have never hunted in Saskatchewan previously you require a HAL certificate which is good for life time but we need a picture of your drivers license to apply for it prior to purchasing your hunting license , take a picture and email to nwoutfitters@sasktel.net or text 1 306 441 1602

BEAR HUNT  

( usually from a tree stand how ever from ground blind if requested )

  1. Deer Hunts - Northern Whitetail Outfittersrifle , bow , cross bow or muzzle loader
  2. tree hooks / screws / harness
  3. Scent free insect repellant / therma cell  ( best ) 
  4. mag light / head light
  5. camo face mask 
  6. blaze orange or red cap
    and vest if using a rifle
  7. camera / video
  8. bow or muzzle loader hunters camouflage clothing 
    ( if using a bow , cross bow or muzzle loader) evenings can be cool so layer clothing
  9. pee bottle with lid 
  10. insulated rubber boots or scent free boots , scent off spray.
  11. 2 pairs light gloves    
  12. house shoes ( in lodge )
  13. cell phone with international roaming
  14. rain gear
  15. bear spray for bow hunters ( can be purchased in  Saskatoon )
  16. PASSPORT ( if you are a out of country visitor )
  17. fishing pole ?
  18. A large insulated cooler if transporting hide home
  19. lfa - polypropylene clothing base layer is recommended along with merino wool ( lighter version )
  20. Bear spray recommended for bow hunters

 

 

WHITETAIL DEER HUNT

( usually from a ground blind tent or tree stand in some circumstance )

 

 

  1. your favorite big game rifle / shooting stick 
  2. loose fitting winter clothing quiet material (multi layering recommended )  base layer is recommended along with merino wool and wind breaker
  3. loose warm gloves & mitts / muff
  4. very loose fitting boots 2 sizes bigger ( Sorel type with felt insulation ) and boot blankets  
  5. hand and foot warmers ( hot packs ) 
  6. face mask & goggles ( for atv ride into stands
  7. small thermos   
  8. red or blaze orange winter cap / head sock ( we supply )
  9. pee bottle ( doesn't need to fancy )
  10. small screw in gear hooks
  11. blaze orange vest  or white Jacket or coveralls /  to fit over your clothing  
  12. small back pack
  13. foot rug approx. 20" x 24" ? ( optional )
  14. mini mag lite / head light
  15. house shoes ( lodge )  
  16. light pull rope ( if using a tree stand )
  17.  Binoculars ?
  18. passport ( if you are out of country visitor )
  19. cell phone ( roaming )
  20. rattling horns / grunt tube
  21. 2 feet of string or zip tie ? ( to fasten license )
  22. Trail camera ?
  23. shooting  stick ?
